In Africa they would string necklaces made of cowrie trade shells, trading beads, and precious metals and use them as bartering tools. These one of a kind pieces made by me and Mackksaray are modern references to those important trade necklaces from the past. Constructed from hand made glass beads, hand crafted glass shells, cowrie shells, and vintage sterling silver chain links.
